This depends on the choice of package and creativity required.
Our Settr Go and Settr Go+ and Settr Leap packages can take up to 3-4 weeks.
If the process includes printing, we would recommend accounting for an additional 2-4 weeks.
This process can be expedited. For a faster delivery you can contact us.
Check out our page about expedited orders here.
What factors can cause the design to take longer than average?
Which things allow the design to proceed faster than average?
With our Settr Go, Settr Go+ and Settr Leap packages you can have the complete thesis styled from A to Z. Think about:
Depending on the package choice, we have a styleguide with examples available. This will help prepare our designer with an inventory of your styling preferences. These preferences are developed into a layout concept based on your thesis cover artwork and what looks best.
We have numerous designers. Depending on your idea, you will need to pick the package that best suits your needs. We can then determine for you who will best suit your requirements and ideas.
Within our packages, 1 hour is reserved for author corrections. This could be, for example, spelling errors or other inconsistencies.
We recommend checking the Word document carefully before sending it. This saves corrections, but also time when reviewing the concept and the complete layout later in the design process.
We will send the invoice after approval of the proof. The payment term is 2 weeks after delivery of the books.
This depends on the number of copies you want, the number of pages, the paper type, and if you decide to go for advanced printing techniques such as gold foil or spot UV. You can easily request a quote on our website, but you can always contact us for more information.
We will evaluate the options that best suit your needs.
The dissertation printing process can take 8-10 working day, depending on the specifications of your order and printing requirements.
The time will also depend on the printing partner you choose. However, with all our partners the amount time for printing is 8-10 working days for delivery.
We have various types of paper for the inside and cardboard for the cover.
Applications are also possible to embellish the cover with advanced printing techniques such as gold foil or spot UV.
Because we offer many options, we have not shown all options within the request for a quote. If you want to go through all the options, you can always contact us without obligation.
You can also request our printing partners manual with the request for quotation. This includes their basic paper types as examples. Also, the cover of this manual has some applications incorporated into the cover.
If you want to register your thesis, an ISBN is required. With this number you end up in a globally recognized database.
Indicate this requirement in the request for quotation with our printing partner. They’ll need some information from you so that they can submit the application.
The costs for an ISBN request are € 25 excl. 9% VAT.
After we’ve sent the digital production files to our print partner, they will conveniently pack the books in boxes.
They ship it with an overnight courier. This service collects the theses one working day before the agreed delivery date.
The next day they deliver the theses between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Delivery is usually to the University.
That is more practical, because someone has to be present during office hours.
You will receive a proof of the thesis during the process.
By default, this is a paper proof, where you can check the quality and content. If it concerns an urgent delivery or you are unable to receive a paper proof, we will send a digital PDF proof by email.
Agreements are made about this when planning your order.
The purpose of the test is to check it and to be able to make the necessary changes.
With planning, we take into account that you take the time for this.
After checking, we look forward to your approval on the final files.
G-print is used as paper for the vast majority of theses. This paper is slightly glossy, but not as glossy as heavily coated paper. The advantage of this is that it makes the color stand out well, but certainly also gives an excellent print result for text.
However, there are also alternatives such as 90 grs. Biotop (uncoated, cream-coloured paper), 90 grs. HVO (white raw paper), or recycled paper.
Costs don’t vary that much so personal preference is by far the most important here.
You can always request our information booklet without obligation, which contains all available paper types, so that you can see for yourself which paper you think is the best for your dissertation.
How you deliver the files is very important. We will need to receive your completed manuscript. 100% completed.
To ensure a smooth process, we recommend investing the time upfront to double check your thesis files are in good order.
This will save you time and effort later in the design process.
We will prepare you during our intake session. However, in the meantime here are some points to look out for.
The word file :
Tables:
Figures:
Bookmark:
Propositions:
You can leave the figures in the Word document as a reference. We also like to receive these separately, as close as possible to the source to maintain quality. These can be various file formats. Examples are a PDF or TIFF document.
You can simply leave tables in the Word document. These must be real tables, made up of rows and cells. We can import these into our software and then give them a desired styling.
With the order you will receive login details to our portal, where you can also deliver files.
The optimum quality or resolution for images and figures is 300 DPI. Figures can also be submitted as vectors in their respective sources (e.g. EPS documents or EMF from PowerPoint).
Alternatively, pdf, jpeg, tiff or png files are also great.
The spine thickness is determined by the paper type and the number of pages.
When preparing your cover and interior for print, our designers will ensure your spine is correctly adjusted.
We do this so you don’t have to spend time figuring it out.
